Question Coat on the Tummy Area

As most of you know, Lexi was shaved in this area when she had the c-section and although its growing, its still not as long as her top coat and I try not to keep looking at it but now and then I do as I have done today. It still seems to be long and drawn out and I just wish I knew why it takes so long to grow back. Its now been 2 years and 4 months - its getting there but not enough. Why does it grow slower in this area compared to the topcoat?? If I could find a stimulant that works to help the growth I would buy it straight away.

Could be the tummy hair is sparser and grows slowly, to allow for feeding any pups.

Anyone with any hairy mummies, lol that can shed some light ? xx

Minnie's hair is still sparse after her spaying so I'm glad Rosie brought this thread back up. I hadn't realised it as an old one either lol, till Lia said so xx

Sookie's tummy is very hairy and she's going to be spayed near the end of February so it will be interesting to see how that grows back, especially as she's having a hernia repair too.

Toots had a hernia and spay op too. Poppy had a spay op but their actual bellies have never been very hairy. I clip their bellies short because it keeps them cleaner and no one can see whats under Poppy's long coat. If you intended to show your dog then, a brazillian is out the question...
