Came across this article yesterday, was shocked to see the state of poor little Peppa - glad she's getting better.

Poor little girl. Ive looked up the full story because I was horrified to think that a sniff of a dead jellyfish could result so quickly in these injuries. It's not quite as it's been reported. This is from the owner

Geraint Thomas Evans ......Peppa was on the beach on a Tuesday. She was sick on Thursday morning then started biting her hip soon after. 2 days after being in contact with the jelly fish. We don't know if it was whilst swimming or on the beach. Showed no signs of a sting etc until 2 days later. 1 st vet thought it could be a tick or insect bite. Only until 10 days later did it start to develop like the photos.........
So anyone who uses beaches don't be too worried. Obviously keep your dogs away from dead jelly fish in case they get stung and don't let them into the sea whilst there's a risk. That all said I hope Peppa continues to make a full recovery xxxx

Typical of the newspapers not giving the true time line and making it out that these injuries appear almost immediately !

So it was caused by the actual sting then? ............ either way, nasty skin sores! ...... good god I'd have a fit if the happened to any of mine! Jelly Fish stings apparently hurt like hell!
